T E S T INSTRUCTIONS In administering a test, the teacher should present the following information to all students. The purpose of the test must be clearly delineated so that all students understand what the test is designed to measure. A careful explanation of the test should be given. Key points should be emphasized. The instructions are more easily understood if the explanation is given in units and follows the order in which they occur in the test. A demonstration should be given, since students are often more receptive to pictures than words.
Films were taken of four students who varied in skill. Teachers and upper-class physical education majors rated the quality of the swing, using each of the sheets.
